Weed Spraying!
Some of you have voiced concerns over the Village's weed spraying these last couple of days. The concerns were posted on various social media sites, but none were communicated to the Village Office!
If you have a concern about something happening in the Village, please communicate that concern to the Beiseker Village Office by calling 403-947-3774.
In the meantime, I am checking into our procedures regarding herbicide spraying in the Village.
I think that the folks commenting on social media - particularly those on the Village of Beiseker Facebook page - believed that they were communicating directly with the village office.
The Village of Beiseker Facebook page is run in part by volunteers. They largely will relay concerns and questions back to those who can address them; whether that's Village Office staff, or the Mayor and council.
But that's not instantaneous communication, and it can take hours or sometimes days to get the correct information and reply. (It does work over the weekends, though, and later in the evenings - for free!) But, perhaps there is a better way to do things.
I tend to agree with Ray, though, that the surest way to get in touch directly with someone at the Village office who can answer your question or concern, has always been to give them a call.

ReplyDeleteAgreed Rhys. I thought the FB VoB page would be seen by village adminstrators.
